Manager - Healthcare Advisory (Business Advisory)

The Manager will report to the Director and will be responsible for:

1. Practice Development & Business Growth

• Implement the strategic plan for the advisory practice.
• Source and secure new advisory engagements aligned with business development targets.
• Actively contribute to building a differentiated and high-impact healthcare advisory practice.

2. Team Building & HR Planning

• Recruit, groom, and manage junior members of the healthcare advisory team.
• Provide mentoring, training, and performance management to strengthen team capabilities.
• Support long-term team development and talent retention.

3. Engagement Management, Execution & Delivery

a. Nature of Engagements

• Lead comprehensive business advisory services including:
• Business plan development
• Commercial due diligence
• Strategic planning
• Operating model design
• Guide clients through informed decision-making, growth strategy formulation, and business transformation.

b. Engagement Scoping

• Act as the primary interface with clients to identify needs and define engagement scope.
• Scope services in alignment with client requirements, including opportunities to integrate:
• Innovation advisory
• Corporate finance
• M&A-related services
• Collaborate with relevant team leads across Sathguru for comprehensive service delivery

c. Execution & Delivery

• Oversee and manage all healthcare advisory projects.
• Lead engagement planning, execution, and ensure delivery excellence.
• Ensure client satisfaction, timely communication, and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications & Desired Qualities

• Experience:

• 67 years total experience, with 34 years in healthcare/life sciences advisory within a consulting firm.
• Prior industry or research experience is preferred.

• Educational Background:

• Strong scientific foundation in life sciences/biology/biochemistry.
• MBA from a reputed institution.

• Skills & Capabilities:

• Proven ability to lead client delivery and manage project teams.
• Excellent communication, writing, facilitation and presentation skills across audiences.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to generate insights and thought leadership.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to build and scale a high-impact advisory practice.
