Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager Plastic (Non-Auto Sector)

Location: Mumbai Naigaon ( Vasai) / Ahemadabad – Sanand/ Dadara

Department:

Reports To: Head – Business Development

Job Purpose:

To drive revenue growth and expand market share in the non-automotive plastic sector by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and maintaining strong relationships with clients across industries such as packaging, FMCG, electronics, healthcare, consumer goods, and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Development:

    • Identify and develop new markets and customer segments in the non-auto plastic sector.
    • Conduct detailed market research and competitor analysis to shape business strategy.
    • Explore B2B opportunities with large industrial clients, OEMs, and distributors.
  • Sales & Client Management:

    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients.
    • Prepare and deliver effective presentations, proposals, and quotations.
    • Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Product Strategy Support:

    • Work with R&D and production teams to align products with market needs (e.g., plastic sheets, films, containers, household items, etc.).
    • Provide client feedback for product improvements and new product development.
  • Negotiation & Deal Closure:

    • Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations with clients.
    • Ensure timely execution of commercial agreements.
  • CRM & Reporting:

    • Maintain updated records in CRM tools and prepare periodic sales reports.
    • Analyze sales performance and prepare business forecasts.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Engineering, Polymer Science, or Business

    ; MBA preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in

    B2B sales or business development in the plastic industry

    , with a focus on

    non-automotive sectors

    .
  • Strong network in packaging, FMCG, consumer goods, or construction materials.
  • Proven track record of meeting business targets.

  • Deep understanding of plastic materials, applications, and markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and market analysis capabilities.
  • Medical or Electronic-grade
