Mainframe Senior Developer

As an Infoscion, a typical day involves being part of the delivery team at Infosys where your primary responsibilities include ensuring effective Design Development Validation and Support activities to meet the high service standards expected by our clients in the technology domain. Your role will involve gathering requirements and specifications from clients, translating them into system requirements, and contributing significantly to project estimations provided to Technology Leads and Project Managers. Your contribution to building efficient programs and systems is crucial, especially if you are passionate about guiding our clients through their digital transformation journey. In terms of technical requirements, proficiency in Mainframe Development, Mainframes, COBOL Support, DB2, and JCL Support is essential. Additionally, you are expected to possess knowledge of design principles, architecture fundamentals, performance engineering, quality processes, estimation techniques, project domain understanding, and the ability to translate functional and nonfunctional requirements into system requirements. You should be adept at designing and coding complex programs, writing test cases and scenarios as per specifications, and have a good grasp of SDLC and agile methodologies. Keeping abreast of the latest technologies and trends, while demonstrating logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively, are also key aspects of this role.
