Job Description

About Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join our team for a Cloud migrated OnPrim data assets to Azure Cloud. The successful candidate will be responsible for migrating our on-premises databases to a modern cloud-based data platform utilizing Azure Cloud data tools, Azure data migration Service, Azure data factory and Azure data studio etc.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the migration of on-premises SQL Server to Azure cloud
  • Design, develop, and implement migration strategy for using Azure Data Migration Service, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Studio etc.
  • Review and analyze existing on-premises DB objects and data, migrate and validate the database and data on cloud environments.
  • Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitActions/Airflow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.

Expertise You'll Bring:

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud data tools (ADF, Azure Data Migration Service, Blob Storage, Azure Data Studio) and Databricks.
  • Strong experience in ETL development using on-premises databases and ETL technologies
  • Proficient in SQL and Python or other scripting languages for data processing.
  • Proficiency in DevOps and CI/CD practices using GitActions.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
