Job Title: Laundry Executive Role Summary: The Laundry Executive is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the in-house laundry facility, ensuring timely and hygienic cleaning, drying, and delivery of clothes and linen for students and staff. This role requires strong organisational skills, familiarity with automatic IFB/ Ramsons laundry systems, and a proactive approach to service quality in a residential boarding environment. This is a residential position; accommodation and meals are provided by the school. Key Responsibilities: Supervise the washing, drying, folding, and ironing of student and staff clothes, uniforms, bed linens, and towels using automatic laundry machines. Maintain separate cycles and hygiene protocols for student and staff laundry. Ensure timely pickup and delivery of clothes from designated collection points (hostels/staff quarters). Manage and allocate duties to laundry support staff (washers, ironers, helpers). Maintain attendance, productivity, and discipline of the laundry team. Train staff on the use of machines, safety procedures, and school hygiene standards. Operate and monitor IFB washing and drying machines. Conduct daily checks on the machinery to ensure smooth operation. Report and coordinate maintenance and service needs with the engineering/maintenance team. Maintain stock of detergents, fabric softeners, bleach, laundry bags, and other consumables. Raise timely requests for replenishment to avoid disruption in service. Maintain logs of material usage and wastage. Implement and monitor laundry hygiene protocols as per boarding school standards. Ensure clothes are washed, dried, and returned in clean and damage-free condition. Address complaints related to lost/damaged clothes with a solution-oriented approach. Maintain daily records of laundry received, processed, and delivered. Submit weekly/monthly reports on laundry volume, staff deployment, and machine uptime. Keep records of AMC/repair schedules and vendor visits. Coordinate with House Parents, Wardens, and Admin teams for special laundry needs Align with the academic calendar and events schedule for uniform and linen readiness. Skills & Competencies Required: 3 to 5 years of experience in institutional laundry operations (boarding school, hotel, hospital preferred). Knowledge and hands-on experience with automatic washing/drying machines (IFB/ Ramsons preferred). Basic technical understanding for first-level machine troubleshooting. Strong interpersonal and team management skills. Basic record-keeping and familiarity with Excel/logbook entries. Cleanliness, discipline, and a service-oriented attitude. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certification in laundry operations preferred. Ability to speak and understand basic English or Hindi.
