Job Title: Laser Machine Operator Department: Production / Fabrication Industry: Manufacturing / Engineering Location: Palavakkam, Chennai Job Type : Full-time Pay: ₹20,000.00 per month Schedule: Rotational shift Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision components as per specifications. The ideal candidate should have experience in handling laser cutting equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate laser cutting machines (e.g., CO₂, Fiber lasers) to cut metal sheets or other materials. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files. Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, etc. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment. Load and unload materials and maintain machine logs and records. Monitor the cutting process and adjust parameters as necessary for quality and efficiency. Troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and escalate major issues. Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure work area remains clean and organized. Requirements: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Production. Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Laser Machine Operator in a manufacturing setup. Familiarity with laser machines like Trumpf, Amada, Bystronic, or similar. Basic knowledge of CNC programming is an added advantage. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving skills.
