Key Responsibilities: 1. *Lab Procedures:* Conduct laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses related to animal health, welfare, or veterinary research. 2. *Sample Handling:* Collect, process, and analyze biological samples (e.g., blood, tissue, urine) from animals for diagnostic or research purposes. 3. *Data Management:* Record and manage data from lab tests, ensuring accuracy and integrity for research or diagnostic reporting. 4. *Equipment Maintenance:* Maintain and operate lab equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration. 5. *Collaboration:* Work with veterinarians, researchers, or other lab personnel to support animal welfare-related projects or diagnostics. 6. *Safety Protocols:* Follow lab safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. 7. *Reporting:* Assist in preparing reports or summaries of lab findings for research or diagnostic purposes. *Requirements:* 1. *Education:* Diploma or degree in veterinary technology, animal science, biology, or a related field. 2. *Experience:* Experience in a lab setting, preferably with animal samples or in veterinary diagnostics. 3. *Skills:* - Proficiency in lab techniques and procedures. - Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling. - Ability to work with biological samples and follow safety protocols. - Basic knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and welfare. *Work Environment:* 1. *Lab Setting:* Work in a laboratory with equipment and samples related to animal health or veterinary science. 2. *Collaboration:* Work with researchers, veterinarians, or other lab staff on projects or diagnostics. 3. *Safety Considerations:* Follow strict lab safety guidelines when handling biological samples or chemicals.
