Lab Assistant

Job Title: School Lab AssistantJob Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and organized Lab Assistant to support science teachers and students in the school laboratories. The Lab Assistant will be responsible for preparing materials, maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring safety protocols, and assisting during practical sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare laboratory equipment, materials, and chemicals before classes.
• Assist teachers and students during science experiments.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the laboratory.
• Properly label and store chemicals and lab equipment.
• Maintain an inventory of laboratory supplies and place orders when required.
• Safely dispose of chemical and biological waste as per guidelines.
• Report damaged equipment or safety hazards to the concerned authority.
• Assist in setting up lab experiments and demonstrations.
• Maintain records of experiments conducted and ensure all equipment is in working condition.
• Guide students on the correct use of laboratory tools and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Science (preferred but not mandatory for junior roles).
• Prior experience as a lab assistant in a school or educational institution is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of science laboratory practices and safety.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time role during school hours.
• Must be comfortable handling laboratory chemicals and equipment.
• Should follow strict safety and hygiene protocols.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
