Job Summary The Paint Shop Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing all processes related to the paint shop operations. This includes overseeing equipment maintenance, ensuring product quality, monitoring process parameters, implementing continuous improvements, and adhering to safety and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily paint shop operations and ensure production targets are met. Monitor and control paint shop parameters including temperature, humidity, and coating thickness. Ensure adherence to quality standards (e.g., surface finish, adhesion, gloss, etc.). Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of paint shop equipment (e.g., spray booths, ovens, conveyors, robots). Coordinate with quality, production, and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards (e.g., VOC limits, PPE usage, ventilation). Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Maintain records of paint consumption, batch mixing, and inventory of consumables. Support new product launches, trials, and process validations. Train and mentor paint shop operators and technicians.
