Position Summary: To ensure all the regions of Mongolia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, Sri Lanka (South East Asia & Sub Sahara countries) are maintained and fully operational according to the contractual obligation for the Accounts. This position will involve travelling to each location if required and ensuring all locations are properly maintained. JOB PURPOSE: Create work plans for locomotives and communicating them to the customers and FSEs in a timely fashion. Work with minimal supervision. Working safely on customer property, following all safety rules. Ensuring Auditing materials and completing cycle counts are completed by staff weekly. Entering warranty orders and requisitions when required. Follow up on new deliveries, and work with engineering to maintain highest quality of performance. Advising customer tradesmen on testing and troubleshooting procedures. Co-ordinate activities regarding tech issues and material requirements with all sheds. Effectively troubleshoot and repair all mechanical & electrical systems of locomotives, both on and off site. Take Corrective action as needed for all safety and work-related issues at all sheds. Responsible for long- and short-term planning and meeting operation schedules Communicate information in a timely manner to all employees. Assure proper maintenance of facility equipment and machinery is in working condition. Effectively troubleshoot and repair all mechanical & electrical system of a locomotive. Administer all policies and procedures that relate to the facilities at individual sheds. Ensure all governmental agency inspection requirements and/or procedures are accounted for and documented. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures with all staff Ensure good safety practices and housekeeping to all sheds Co-ordinate with engineering in LaGrange with all issues with issues with new locomotives. JOB DUTIES : 1. Provides technical advice to customers regarding proper facilities, tooling, maintenance practices, and operation of product to maximize reliability and performance. 2. Assists customers with investigating and correcting product difficulties. 3. Support warranty and Locomotive Commissioning activity and engage in MSA projects if requirement arises. 4. Maintaining inventory details of materials. 5. Develop technical best practices. JOB RELATED STATISTICS: - No. of direct reports only: ZERO - No. of facilities/sites managed: As required internationally - Financial Responsibility BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: B.E. / B. Tech. (Mechanical /Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Automation /) with 3 - 6 years OR Diploma (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Automation / Mechanical) with 7 - 8 OR ITI (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical) with 8 - 10 years of experience in locomotive services and maintenance. Preferred Prior railroad locomotive field experience or knowledge of railroad operations Previous locomotive experience in mechanical or electrical troubleshooting Knowledge of rail industry safety rules. Experience with SAP and D365. Knowledge of unit service and warranty policies and procedures.
