Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and be proficient in the use of hand tools and machinery. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Carpenter will work on various projects, including residential and commercial buildings, ensuring that all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Perform joinery tasks, ensuring precision in measurements and cuts. Assemble furniture and cabinetry according to specifications. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square to maintain structural integrity. Carry out heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment. Work on roofing projects, including the installation of rafters and trusses. Conduct painting tasks as necessary to finish projects. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including electricians for integrated projects. Fabricate custom pieces as per project requirements while adhering to safety regulations. Requirements Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in construction. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and carpentry principles. Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical documents accurately. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
