Head/DGM/AGM - Plant Operations/Manufacturing

Role & responsibilities

Role involves leading and overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process for machinery

production for machine building (Shot blasting/Peening machines). This includes strategic

planning, operational efficiency, quality control, and team management, ensuring that

production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The role

requires a strong understanding of manufacturing principles, process optimization, and

personnel management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning and Implementation:

Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's goals, focusing

on improving efficiency, productivity, and quality. 

• Operational Management:

Oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring smooth workflow, optimal resource

allocation (including manpower, equipment, and materials), and adherence to production

schedules. 

• Quality Control:

Establish and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure that all products meet

or exceed established quality standards and customer requirements. 

• Team Leadership and Management:

Lead, motivate, and manage a team of manufacturing personnel, providing guidance,

support, and performance feedback. 

• Process Optimization:

Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes, implement solutions to

enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime. 

• Budget Management:

Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing operations, ensuring cost-effective

resource utilization and adherence to financial targets. 

• Safety and Compliance:

Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all relevant safety regulations

and industry standards. 

• Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring optimal levels of raw materials and

finished goods to support production and minimize carrying costs. 

• Maintenance and Repair:

Supervise the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, coordinating with

maintenance staff to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. 

• Reporting and Analysis:

Analyze production data, quality control reports, and other operational metrics to identify

trends, troubleshoot issues, and make data-driven decisions. 

• Project Management:

Participate in new product development and design processes, ensuring that new

products are manufacturable and meet quality standards. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and

equipment used in machine building. 

• Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams

effectively. 

• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve

operational issues. 

• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and

interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders. 

• Business Acumen: Understanding of business principles, including budgeting,

resource allocation, and strategic planning. 

• Quality Focus: Commitment to maintaining high quality standards and continuous

improvement. 

• Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance. 

• Experience: Significant experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on

machine building or related industries.
