Gold Appraiser Job Description

A Gold Appraiser is an essential part of measuring the price of gold as well as various other valuable metals. They are accountable to evaluate the weight, purity, and quality of the gold items being appraised to ensure accuracy and conformity to the industry standard.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting appraisals: Perform detailed examinations of gold-based items to determine the purity, weight, and authenticity.
• Test Methods: Make use of a range of test methods and equipment to evaluate the quality of gold, such as Acid tests, electronic testers, and density meters.
• Information: Accurately record appraisal details, such as purity, weight, and any distinctive marks or features.
• Customer service: Interact with clients professionally and in a friendly manner, answering their questions and concerns about the appraisal procedure.
• Market Information: Stay informed about the latest market trends, prices for gold, and regulations for the industry for accurate evaluations.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the team, such as sales associates and jewellers, to ensure smooth customer service and accurate pricing.
• Maintenance of Equipment: Ensure that all equipment used for appraisal is correctly calibrated and maintained to provide accurate results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
