Functional/Regression Tester

As a Functional/Regression Tester at The Marcom Avenue, you will play a crucial role in implementing and coordinating a comprehensive test process within an emerging team. Your responsibilities include leading functional testing, Regression Testing, maintaining and creating new tests, as well as guiding your colleagues on testing practices. Daily tasks will involve developing test scenarios, testing new functionalities, optimizing test speed, and ensuring that the built functionalities align with the requirements. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders and the development team to make decisions on the production release. Moreover, you will be responsible for supporting SIT, UAT, and post-production testing, estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities. Your role will also encompass performing thorough testing post bug resolution and feature completion, developing and implementing testing processes for both new and existing products to meet business requirements. The ideal candidate for this position should possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills along with strong problem-solving abilities. You should also have experience in testing Restful APIs using tools like Postman or RestAssured. Additionally, you must demonstrate adaptability, critical thinking, and the capacity to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Qualifications for this role include a minimum of 2 years of IT experience in software testing, proficiency in API Testing for Restful APIs, and the ability to track requirements to completion as per design and test cases. Furthermore, hands-on experience in manual testing across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is essential. Knowledge of test and defect management tools like ALM, as well as experience with automation and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, are also required. The successful candidate will be proactive in building and managing relationships with IT and Business Stakeholders, possess excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting issues, and demonstrate a strong technical acumen.
