Water Supply Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop concept, schematic, detailed, and draft final designs for water transmission and distribution systems.
  
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis using tools such as

  WaterGEMS

  and

  Water Hammer

  .
• Prepare technical drawings, design reports, permit applications, and project documentation.
  
• Conduct water demand forecasting and analyze water use data.
  
• Identify and evaluate alternative water supply solutions and water storage design (e.g., tanks and reservoirs).
  
• Perform cost-benefit analyses and risk mitigation studies for proposed systems.
  
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration across all project stages.
  
• Review design submissions, participate in internal design checks, and implement revisions as needed.
  
• Work with stakeholders for value engineering on non-complex projects.
  
• Ensure compliance with international standards and codes.
  
• Prepare and deliver presentations for internal and external clients.
  

Required Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in hydraulic and environmental engineering.
  
• Excellent report writing and technical documentation skills.
  
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across teams.
  
• Prior experience with

  Gulf region projects

  is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards related to water infrastructure.
  

Software Proficiency:

• Hydraulic Modeling:

  Bentley WaterGEMS, Water Hammer

• CAD Design:

  Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D

• GIS & Mapping:

  ESRI ArcGIS, MapInfo

• Office Tools:

  Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in water supply system design
  
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
  
• Willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality results
