Engineer - Maintenance (Mechanical)

Role & responsibilities Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of equipment and machinery. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and develop and execute maintenance plans to minimize downtime and disruptions. Analyze data to identify trends, diagnose problems and develop solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance. Collaborate with production teams, management and suppliers to develop and execute maintenance plans that meet organizational goals and priorities. Ensure that those conducting maintenance activities are in compliance with safety standards and regulations and identify and mitigate potential safety hazards. Develop and maintain technical documentation, schematics and procedures to support maintenance activities. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Responsible for minimizing breakdowns by fixing targets on annual basis. Responsible for ensuring effective practice of PM/AM/CBM. Responsible for execution of Capex proposals. Prepare the annual Maintenance budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards. Release monthly operation reports (Maintenance) Statutory compliance adherence Responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output. Responsible for Maintenance expense control. To effectively control inventory of engineering items. Support on yearly initiatives focused on continuous growth of plant operations. Control & monitor the performance of machinery using Machine History Card, Breakdown Maintenance Card, MTTR, MTBF. 100% Compliance with statutory requirement of TNEB, TNEI, TNPCB. Drive manufacturing excellence projects. Drive KAIZEN Projects Preferred candidate profile A bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field 3 years of relevant work experience in mechanical maintenance Strong understanding of engineering principles and knowledge of equipment and machinery Ability to analyze information, diagnose problems and develop solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others. Strong time management and organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions under pressure.
