Job Description

  • Location- Jinja, Uganda
  • Installation and Maintenance:Plant electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, transformers, generators, lighting, and control systems.
  • Troubleshooting:They diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Preventative Maintenance:Plant electricians perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to identify and address potential problems before they cause failures.
  • Reading Blueprints and Schematics:They must be able to interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Safety Compliance:Strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures is crucial, especially when working with high-voltage equipment.
  • Collaboration:They often work with engineers, technicians, and other plant personnel to complete projects and address electrical issues.
  • Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs is important for compliance and future reference.
  • Equipment Operation:Plant electricians may operate and maintain various electrical equipment, including switchgear, motor control systems, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
  • Material Handling:Some tasks may involve manually handling materials and working in physically demanding environments
