ECG Technician

• Prepare and position patients for ECG procedures in a comfortable and safe manner.
• Attach electrodes to the patient’s chest, arms, and legs to record electrical impulses from the heart.
• Operate ECG machines, Holter monitors, stress test equipment, and telemetry systems.
• Monitor and recognize irregular heart activity and report urgent findings to supervising medical staff.
• Ensure accurate and detailed recording of test results for physician interpretation.
• Maintain and calibrate ECG equipment regularly.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Enter test results into electronic medical records (EMR) and prepare reports.
• Educate patients on procedures and provide aftercare instructions when necessary.
• Assist with training or supervision of junior staff or interns, if required.
• Follow all infection control, safety, and clinical protocols.
