Dispatch Executive

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Dispatch Executive with expertise in managing the safe, efficient, and compliant transportation of chemicals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the dispatch of chemical products, ensuring adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and timely delivery. A key focus will be maintaining accurate records and coordinating between various departments to ensure smooth logistics operations. Key Responsibilities: Dispatch Management: Oversee the timely dispatch of chemical products from the warehouse to customers, ensuring that deliveries meet deadlines and client specifications. Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all shipments comply with regulatory requirements, including transportation of hazardous materials, labeling, and safety documentation (e.g., SDS - Safety Data Sheets). Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with production, warehouse, and transport teams to schedule and dispatch products efficiently, minimizing delays. Documentation: Prepare and maintain dispatch records, delivery reports, shipping manifests, and compliance documentation. Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory team to track stock levels and ensure that required products are available for dispatch. Customer Communication: Coordinate with customers, sales teams, and drivers to provide delivery updates, resolve issues, and handle any special requirements for chemical shipments. Vehicle Management: Track vehicle performance, schedules, and safety compliance, ensuring that all vehicles are well-maintained and fit for transporting chemical goods. Problem-Solving: Address any logistical or delivery issues, such as delays or damaged goods, and implement corrective actions promptly. Reporting: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch reports to management, highlighting key performance metrics and any challenges faced. Qualifications and Skills: Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Experience: 13 years of experience in a dispatch or logistics role within the chemical industry or a related field. Knowledge of Chemical Regulations: Familiarity with regulations governing the transport of hazardous chemicals, including IMDG Code , ADR , DOT , and ISO standards. Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of safety protocols when handling and dispatching chemical products, including knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and emergency response procedures. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for coordinating with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Technical Proficiency: Familiar with ERP systems , dispatch software , and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling chemicals, paperwork, and dispatch processes. Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to quickly resolve transportation or logistical issues and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
