Job Description

Accountabilities:

Preparation of structural design criteria for a project
Analysis & design of steel structures in accordance with Indian and/or International codes and standards.
Verification of structural behavior and member designs.
Creation of optimized design calculations.
Inter-disciplinary coordination

Key Responsibilities:

Design of connections for steel structures.
Preparation of design calculation reports.
Design of anchorages for foundations and preparation of foundation load data.
Review of 3D models
Guide Tekla CAD engineers by providing correct inputs to them.
Ability to get the correct outputs from CAD engineers.
Workshop visits to support the production team.
Visit clients site as and when required.
Maintain the database for the future references.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

BE/BTech in Civil Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
ME/MTech – desirable with Structural engg.

Software: STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, MS office, MathCAD

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of FEA such as plate elements analysis in STAAD.Pro.
Familiarity with ductile detailing for structures in high seismic zones
In-depth understanding of steel structures design
Sound knowledge of analysis and design principles of seismic and wind.
Familiarity with Indian codes. Knowledge of American and/or European codes is an advantage.
Adaptability to the technological evolvements.
Effective communication
Time & Cost consciousness.
Proactive & Ability to work in a Team.
