Denial Analyst

The Denial Analyst position involves analyzing, researching, and resolving denied claims in the field of medical billing. As a Denial Analyst, your responsibilities will include interpreting denial reasons, resubmitting claims accurately, and preparing appeals when necessary. You will collaborate closely with the billing department, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to ensure that claims are processed and paid correctly. A key aspect of this role is tracking trends in denials to address systemic issues causing rejections. The successful candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of insurance policies, coding guidelines, and the revenue cycle process. Proficiency in healthcare billing software and claim management systems, such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech, is essential. Additionally, familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for billing is required. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, claims processing, or healthcare revenue cycle management. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance policies, as well as HIPAA compliance standards and confidentiality protocols, is crucial for this role.
