Key Responsibilities:

• Database Installation & Configuration

  : Set up new SQL Server instances, configure them as per organizational requirements.

• Security Management

  : Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard data.

• Performance Tuning

  : Optimize SQL Server performance through query analysis, indexing, and more.

• Backup & Recovery

  : Develop and manage backup procedures and recovery plans.

• Troubleshooting

  : Diagnose and resolve database-related issues (performance, errors, connectivity).

• Data Management

  : Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability.

• Monitoring

  : Continuously monitor the health and performance of SQL Server instances.

• Automation

  : Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like T-SQL.

• Collaboration

  : Work closely with other IT teams to ensure smooth operations of related systems and applications.

• Continuous Learning

  : Stay updated on the latest SQL Server features and best practices.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
  

Required Skills:

• SQL Server Expertise

  : Deep knowledge of SQL Server architecture, features, and functionalities.

• Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL

  : Ability to write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.

• Database Design

  : Strong understanding of database design principles for creating efficient and scalable database structures.

• Experience with SSIS, SSAS, SSRS

  : Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services.

• Cloud Experience

  : Knowledge of Azure SQL Database and cloud-based database environments.

Desired Profile of the Candidate:

• Experience

  : A minimum of

  3 years

  of proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
