Job Description

As a Data Engineer specializing in Databricks, your primary responsibility will be to develop, support, and drive end-to-end business intelligence solutions using Databricks. You will collaborate with business analysts and data architects to transform requirements into technical implementations. Your role will involve designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining PySpark code through the Databricks UI to facilitate data and analytics use cases for the client. Additionally, you will code, test, and document new or enhanced data systems to build robust and scalable applications for data analytics. You will also delve into performance, scalability, capacity, and reliability issues to identify and address any arising challenges. Furthermore, you will engage in research projects and proof of concepts to enhance data processing capabilities. Key Requirements: - 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and PySpark. - Proficiency in SQL and adept data manipulation skills. - Sound understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies. - Familiarity with Google Pub sub, Kafka, or Mongo DB is a plus. - Knowledge of ETL processes and tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading would be beneficial. - Experience with cloud platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Google Cloud. - Understanding of data governance and data quality best practices. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. - Continuous learning demonstrated through technical certifications or related methods. - 3+ years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, preferably within the Retail domain. Desired Qualities: - Self-motivated and dedicated to achieving outcomes for a rapidly growing team and organization. - Effective communication skills through verbal, written, and client presentations.
