Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Desktop Support Engineer located in Pune. The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for desktop computers and printers, troubleshooting hardware issues, and ensuring optimal performance of computer systems. This includes installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software, and responding to technical inquiries from users. Asset Management: Understanding of the asset management lifecycle; experience performing asset management activities. Audits: Basic understanding of internal and external audits. Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Support Engineer with expertise in Electron JS , Angular , and Java to join our technical support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, resolving, and escalating technical issues for both desktop (Electron) and web-based (Angular/Java) applications. This role requires a mix of development knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and customer service orientation. Key Responsibilities: Provide L2/L2.5 application support for software solutions built using Electron JS, Angular, and Java. Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement short-term and long-term resolutions. Monitor application performance and logs, and respond to incidents within defined SLAs. Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to resolve complex technical problems. Develop support documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles. Interface with clients or internal users to understand and clarify issue reports. Participate in on-call rotation or provide after-hours support as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5-14 years of experience in a technical support, software engineering, or application maintenance role. Must Hands-on experience supporting or developing applications using: Electron JS (desktop apps) Angular (frontend) Java (backend, Spring Boot preferred) Experience in log analysis, performance tuning, and debugging. Familiarity with REST APIs , JSON, Microservices Architecture and web technologies. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficient with tools like Postman , Git , Jira , Splunk/ELK , and CI/CD pipelines . Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
