Introduction: Child in Need Institute (CINI) has been functioning since 1974 with the mission to ‘To ensure child and adolescents achieve their rights to health, education, nutrition, protection and participation by making duty bearers and community responsive to their wellbeing’. 50 years of organizational experience in Eastern parts of India has enabled CINI to prevent vulnerabilities of children through the creation of multi-stakeholder-based safety nets in close collaboration with the local, district, state, and central governments. Project details: The proposed project seeks to create child-safe, inclusive, and gender-responsive city clusters in Kolkata and Ranchi, the capitals of West Bengal and Jharkhand states, respectively. Firstly, the project aims to increase resilience among the community, especially children and adolescents, to gender-based discrimination and violence. Through assessments, the project seeks to empower individuals and communities to recognize and address gender-based discriminatory practices effectively. By engaging the community in the analysis process, the project aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the specific challenges and factors contributing to such practices against children, adolescents and LGBTIQ individuals. Additionally, the project will provide safe spaces for children and adolescents, where they can freely express themselves and seek support, further contributing to their overall well-being and protection from violence and discrimination. Qualification: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English Experience: i. 1 to 2 years of experience in teaching Spoken English, preferably to adolescents or community-based learners. ii. Prior experience working with NGOs, community-based initiatives, or urban disadvantaged populations is highly desirable. iii. Excellent command over English with effective teaching and facilitation skills. iv. Ability to engage and motivate young learners from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. v. Sensitivity towards gender issues and inclusivity, especially LGBTQIA+ inclusion, is preferred. Key Deliverables: Teach Spoken English to a group of 10 students (aged 11 to 35 years) at each Inclusive Learning Centre. Design and implement interactive lesson plans focusing on spoken and conversational English. Conduct pre- and post-assessments to measure learning outcomes. Use creative methods (e.g., role plays, storytelling, dialogue practice) to make sessions engaging. Submit monthly reports documenting progress, attendance, and challenges. We are dedicated to providing universal access to crèches for children aged 7 months to 3 years in Simdega, Jharkhand, regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds. Our approach includes holistic support, including supplementary feeding, early childhood development programs, and facilitating access to essential entitlements crucial for children's growth and development. Early intervention is crucial, targeting growth faltering, underweight, and wasted children within this age group and thorough follow-up for their well-being. About the Project: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) is implementing an ambitious National Strategic Plan with the goal to achieve SDG End TB targets by 2025. The challenge of tuberculosis requires a multi-sectoral response to address the social determinants like nutritional support, living and working conditions, and an increase in access to diagnostic and treatment services. India contributes 25 percent of total TB patients of the world, to eliminate TB from India and to meet target of the SDG Government of India has launched “Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” on 9th September 2022. In this background Central Coalfields Ltd., Jharkhand has joined hands with CINI for support through Nutritional care and mental well-being support for patients with Tuberculosis in Chatra and Latehar District to achieve the Goal of NTEP. Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with District and Block TB units, local administration, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of the Nutrition Food Basket project. Establish and maintain effective communication channels with key stakeholders, including District TB Officers (DTOs) and Block TB units. Participation in Monthly Review Meeting of District Health Society Chaired by Civil Surgeon. 2. Data Management and Verification: Collect, verify, and maintain accurate data for the distribution of Nutrition Food Baskets to identified TB patients. Conduct telephonic verification of existing TB patients to confirm eligibility and ensure the correct identification of beneficiaries before distribution. 3. Logistics and Distribution Coordination: Plan, schedule, and coordinate the distribution of Nutrition Food Baskets with the support of Block TB units and DTOs. Facilitate facility-based distribution events, ensuring all logistics are organized for smooth execution. Ensure monthly distribution of Nutrition Food Baskets to all eligible TB patients within the district (Approx number of patients-Latehar- 585). 4. Documentation and Reporting: Ensure proper documentation of distribution activities, including tracking deliveries and maintaining beneficiary records using tools like KOBO checklist. Prepare and submit regular reports to the State office, District, and Block TB units as per project requirements and timelines. Maintain accurate records of all Nutrition Basket Distribution, community interventions, feedback, and progress updates. 5. Administrative Support: Assist in obtaining required approvals and issuance of letters from District and Block TB units to facilitate the effective implementation of the project. Address any logistical or administrative issues that may arise during the project implementation. 6. Monitoring and Compliance: Monitor the progress of the distribution process and ensure compliance with project guidelines and protocols. Identify and address any gaps or challenges in the distribution system, providing timely solutions to ensure efficient service delivery. 7. Community Engagement and Sensitization: Engage with District, Block administration, local communities, health workers, and other stakeholders to raise awareness about the benefits of the Nutrition Food Basket initiative. Facilitate sensitization and support activities to encourage TB patients to access nutrition services and adhere to treatment protocols. Expected travel : 70% of the working days in a month need to be spent on field visits in all project areas according to the requirement. Candidate is expected to travel to remote field areas in the designated district / blocks with occasional travel to State Office, Ranchi. India contributes 25 percent of total TB patients of the world, to eliminate TB from India and to meet target of the SDG Government of India has launched “Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” on 9th September 2022. In this background Central Coalfields Ltd., Jharkhand has joined hands with CINI for support through Nutritional care and mental well-being support for patients with Tuberculosis in Chatra and Latehar District to achieve the Goal of NTEP.
