Process Control Engineer for Melting and Molding Department Key Responsibilities: Overall process control for melting and moulding as defined by QC/NPD departments. Daily calibration of moulding machines and efficient utilization of moulding chemicals. Conduct trials for alternative, cost-effective raw materials such as resin, hardener, mould paint, and furnace ramming mass. Monitor mould closing, inspect mould quality, and oversee necessary repairs. Maintain and optimize melting and moulding parameters including pouring/tapping temperatures, number of coating layers, and use of premium sand. Serve as a reliever for both moulding and melting departments (currently, no backup personnel are available). Conduct trials aimed at yield improvement and pattern modifications as per higher authority's direction. Implement best foundry practices to enhance overall efficiency. Monitor and report daily rejections, ensure corrective actions, and escalate issues when needed. Enforce PPE compliance among shop floor personnel (e.g., safety shoes, gloves, goggles). Support cost reduction initiatives across the department. Qualification Requirements: B.E. / Diploma in Foundry Technology (preferably from NIFT Ranchi), Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgy. 3–4 years of hands-on shop floor experience in a foundry, particularly in moulding and melting operations. Exposure to Mn Steel and High Chrome Castings. Knowledge of sand systems and melting processes. Willingness to work in shifts as required. Basic computer proficiency. Show more Show less

Job Description: · Overall process control responsibility in the molding and melting area defined by the QC department. · Ensure daily molding machine calibration and optimum use of molding chemicals. Conduct trials of raw material for alternate cost-competitive solutions. I.e., resin, hardener, mold paint, and furnace ramming mass. · Ensure all melting and molding parameters are optimized when needed. · Work as a reliever in molding and melting departments. · Conduct trials in the molding and melting department (yield improvement, Pattern modification) · Implement best foundry practices. · Report all daily rejections and ensure all corrective actions are taken by the team. Highlight the issue related to the process/product. · Ensure all PPE’s compliance for shop floor workers. (i.e., safety shoes, gloves, goggles, etc.) · Support cost reduction activities. Qualification requirement: · B.E./diploma in foundry technology (preferably NIFFT Ranchi), mechanical engineering, or metallurgical engineering. · 3-4 years of shop floor foundry experience in the molding and melting department. · Previously worked with Mn steel and high chrome castings. · Have knowledge of sand systems and melting. · Able to work in shifts when required. · Basic computer skills.
