Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the daily operations of our finance department. The ideal candidate must have a strong accounting background, hands-on experience in managing statutory compliances like GST, TDS, Income Tax, and a deep understanding of financial regulations. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely tax filings, and compliance with all statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Financial Reporting Maintain accurate books of accounts as per accounting standards. Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Handle general ledger reconciliations and review accounting entries. Ensure timely closing of books at month-end/year-end. Review and manage accounts payable/receivable and banking operations. Statutory Compliance & Taxation Prepare and file monthly/quarterly/annual returns for GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory bodies. Reconcile GSTR-2A/2B with books and manage input tax credit (ITC) compliance. Ensure timely TDS deductions, payments, and filing of TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, etc.). Liaise with tax consultants/auditors for assessments, notices, or queries. Stay updated with changes in tax laws and ensure timely implementation. Audit & Internal Controls Coordinate and support statutory, internal, and tax audits. Ensure implementation and adherence to internal control systems and policies. Prepare audit schedules, respond to queries, and ensure compliance with audit requirements. MIS & Analysis Prepare monthly MIS reports for management review – Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making. Monitor budgets, cash flow planning, and fund requirements. Team Coordination & Documentation Guide and supervise junior accounting staff. Ensure all accounting records and documents are filed properly and maintained as per regulatory requirements. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders like banks, auditors, consultants, and vendors. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax). Proficiency in Tally ERP, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., Zoho, QuickBooks, SAP – if applicable). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com, BBA Finance). Master’s Degree (M.Com/MBA Finance) or semi-qualified CA/ICWA is a plus. Minimum 4 years of experience in core accounting and taxation roles.
