Job Title: Camunda BPM Java Backend Developer Location: PAN India Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong experience in Camunda BPM to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain business process workflows using Camunda, while integrating them into scalable, secure Java-based backend systems. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement BPMN 2.0-based workflows using Camunda BPM . Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Java (Spring Boot preferred) . Integrate Camunda with external systems, databases, and third-party APIs. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business processes into executable workflows. Write unit, integration, and functional tests for backend services and BPMN workflows. Monitor and optimize Camunda process engine performance. Ensure high code quality and participate in code reviews. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development . 2+ years of hands-on experience with Camunda BPM (BPMN, DMN, CMMN). Strong knowledge of Spring Framework/Spring Boot . Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Familiarity with Microservices Architecture and REST APIs . Understanding of OAuth2 / JWT , security, and authentication standards. Proficiency with Git , Maven/Gradle , and CI/CD tools. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Camunda Cloud / Zeebe is a plus. Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes for containerized deployments. Familiarity with Apache Kafka , RabbitMQ , or other messaging systems. Experience in unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) . Knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm).
