Objectives: Based on Defined Account Strategy, execute the sales process and the sales specific implementation of Mobile Emission Catalyst business unit strategy at the customer interface. Develop lasting customer relationships to identify business trends in and beyond the customer scope while enabling cross-business collaboration and synergies to maximize BASF value. M ain T as k s Strategic: Develop and maintain strategic long-term business relationships with respective accounts (all decision-makers) to promote brand value Responsible to develop, implement, monitor, and guide Sales Strategies and key account management (including pricing implementation) New Business Development, Identify and attract new customers, pursue new applications, and interact with corresponding process and product developers of the potential customers, leading to profitable future business Drive initiatives to improve profitability by implementing value add value engineering (VAVE) measures and value sharing with key OEM’s. Planning & Operational: Responsibility for financial performance to achieve agreed-on targets regarding gross margin costs for the business Provide accurate sales forecast, supporting efficient planning of RM, products Responsible for efficient management of receivable / payment collection, DIV, DSO Negotiate and close deals or contracts with customers and provide operational guidance and support to relevant functional departments, to ensure smooth implementation Leadership: Work closely with regional / global team for effective cross collaboration Influence decision makers in a complex environment within and outside BASF at all levels, and drive actions / decisions without disciplinary responsibility Ensure transparency of marketing initiatives, especially profitability improvement actions, initiated by global segments and affecting India Acts as main interface between India operational teams (production, supply chain, quality, other country functions) and regional marketing segments Coordinates India prioritization of profitability improvement actions in case of bottlenecks in execution Edu c a t i o n: MBA desired or bachelor’s degree in engineering with MBA (desired) W o r k in g E x pe r i e n c e: Minimum 6 years of sales / B2B preferably with Auto / Auto ancillary Industry Show more Show less

Job Title : R & D Senior Engineer Job Grade : 3.2 Reporting Manager : Vivek Vattipalli Location : Chennai Basic Purpose: Catalyst Testing (protocol development, reactor maintenance and data analysis) – Helping meet the catalyst research and development targets of BCIL RD&A. Roles and Responsibilities: Perform laboratory reactor operations and maintenance with highest levels of safety and quality practices. Collaborate with other researchers to develop test protocols as needed. Carry out data analysis and reporting on projects as required. Hold responsibility for planning and execution of various lab projects. Contribute to improvements in reactor design and operations. Job Requirements Required: Master’s degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering + at least 3 years operating a catalytic reactor required. Hands-on experience conducting experiments on laboratory reactors required. Demonstrated ability for carrying out analysis of large datasets using scripting tools such as Python, Visual Basic, etc. Working experience in catalysis required, preferably with automotive catalysts. Well-developed oral and written communication skills. Works well independently and in a team environment. Strong knowledge of and focus on safety in the laboratory. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced technical environment Preferred: Experience with maintaining instruments such as FTIR, mass spectrometer, HFID. Experience building and modifying catalytic reactors. PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
