About the Role

Automation Testing Team Lead

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
Develop automated test scripts for UI and API validation using Selenium, REST Assured, and Postman.
Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).
Perform backend testing with SQL and ensure data integrity validation.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (Scrum meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA or ALM.
Provide clear and timely QA status reports to stakeholders.
Mentor junior QA engineers and help improve overall team skillset.
Take ownership of QA deliverables in projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve test automation challenges across frameworks and tools.

Mandatory Skills

Selenium with Java Strong hands-on experience.
Core Java (OOPs, JDBC, Collections, Exception Handling).
Automation Framework Design and Maintenance.
API Testing using REST Assured or Postman.
CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git/GitHub.
SQL & Database Testing.
BDD using Cucumber, JBehave, or Gherkin.
Strong Manual Testing experience, preferably in Agile environments.

Desired Skills & Tools

Test Frameworks
: TestNG, Maven, Serenity (preferred for reporting).
Defect/Test Management
: JIRA, ALM.
Performance Testing
: JMeter (good to have).
Cross-platform Testing Tools
: Cypress, Playwright, Katalon (added advantage).
Domain Tools (optional)
: FHIR, DICOM for healthcare projects.
