Assistant Manager for Coding Quality.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• To audit the medical coding chart on a regular basis within TAT.
• Should be aware of the internal and external quality percentages of their individual project,
• Should be aware of client updates / account manual up to date.
• Should be aware of different types of audit process Live & Schedule audit.
• Should be able to prioritize the Audit works based on the client and internal priorities.
• Should promptly escalate any new difficulties and process-related quality deviations to reporting managers immediately.
• Should be able to perform quality feedback reviews on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis with coders and operations AMs.
• Should be aware of HIPPA compliance.
• Should be aware of company quality policies and client quality policies.
• Should promptly maintain and share a quality report with the operations team.
• Should be able to give regular feedback and appropriate instruction to coders.

Performance Standards:

• The number of audit charges to analyse will meet or exceed departmental productivity and quality standards.
• To meet all KPI parameters in Quality department including audit coverage for the project.
• Client Policy and Procedure:
• Maintain an up-to-date updated quality reports documentation and quality policy.
• Consistently apply current policy and procedure to all Quality analysis.
• Participate in client calls and clarification whenever is required.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Company policy.

Required Skills:

• 6 to 8 years of work experience in Coding. Value addition if they already worked in Quality department with relevant attributes and skills.
• Candidates certification should be current in AAPC or AHIMA .
• Good Knowledge in Specialty-ED Profee and facility coding(Mandatory), E/M , Multi-speciality(Mandatory) - general coding guidelines. (CPT, ICD -10 CM guideline) , Multi-speciality(Added Advantage)
• Strong anatomy & physiology knowledge.
• Team player collaborative with other auditors and coders.
• Able to share Training need analysis based on the Root Cause Analysis and basic knowledge on the RCA tool.
• Auditor able to provide rational and fresher to the coders whenever is require.
• Able to document audit finding as per monitoring form in Excel or portal.
• Excellent Communication & task orientation to discuss about rational on the feedback.
• Adaptability to work in different shifts, teams, and roles
