Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative, passionate, and dynamic Art and Craft Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students in various aspects of visual arts, crafts, and design, helping them develop their artistic skills and creativity. The role involves delivering engaging lessons, fostering a love for the arts, and promoting self-expression among students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Planning and Delivery:
• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and art projects tailored to different age groups (Elementary, Middle, or High School).
• Incorporate a variety of techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and crafts.
• Foster creativity and artistic expression in students through innovative approaches and projects.
• Classroom Management:
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and self-expression.
• Establish clear expectations for student behaviour, ensuring a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
• Ensure that all students are actively engaged and participating in activities.
• Assessment and Feedback:
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback on both technique and creativity.
• Maintain detailed records of students' work, grades, and achievements.
• Communicate effectively with parents about student progress, challenges, and successes.
• Material and Resource Management:
• Manage art supplies, tools, and materials needed for lessons and projects.
• Ensure that the classroom is equipped with appropriate resources, keeping inventory up to date and ordering supplies as necessary.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed in the use of tools, paints, and other materials.
• Collaborative and Extra-Curricular Activities:
• Organize and coordinate art exhibitions, displays, and other art-related events within the school.
• Lead or support after-school clubs, art workshops, or special projects.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Professional Development:
• Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in art and crafts education.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and professional development opportunities to improve teaching methods.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience: Previous teaching experience in art and craft education (minimum 2-3 years) preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Expertise in various art forms and crafts (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.).
• Ability to adapt teaching techniques to suit diverse learning styles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Certifications: Valid teaching certification or equivalent, as required by local education authorities.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Accommodation available for outstation candidate.
