Argon (TIG) Welder

Job Title: Argon Welder Pharma Machinery Manufacturing Department: Production / Fabrication Location: Ahmedabad Reports To: Fabrication Supervisor Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Argon Welder (TIG Welder) with experience in the pharmaceutical machinery industry . The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-precision welding operations using Argon Gas (TIG) welding methods, working with SS304 and SS316L stainless steel, and adhering to industry-specific cleanliness and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform TIG (Argon) welding on pharmaceutical-grade stainless steel components (SS304/SS316L). Interpret technical drawings, fabrication blueprints, and welding symbols . Ensure clean welds with no contamination , maintaining sanitary requirements essential for pharmaceutical equipment. Follow GMP, cGMP, and FDA compliance standards during fabrication. Operate tools such as grinders, cutters, polishers, and orbital welders as required. Conduct in-process visual and dimensional inspections of welds to ensure precision and quality. Collaborate with the design and QA teams to address fabrication issues or deviations. Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, safe working environment. Qualifications and Skills: ITI / Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, or related field. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in TIG welding in a pharma machinery or food-grade equipment manufacturing environment. Knowledge of ASME, AWS D18.1 (Sanitary Welding Standard), or equivalent codes is a plus. Ability to weld thin sheets, pipes, and complex assemblies without distortion or burn-through. Proficient in handling argon gas shielding , purging techniques, and orbital welding is an advantage. Strong understanding of cleanroom and hygienic fabrication standards. Preferred Attributes: Certification in TIG/Argon welding (e.g., from AWS or equivalent authority). Experience with electropolishing, passivation, or orbital welding machines . High attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a safety-first attitude. Ability to work independently or in a team environment under tight deadlines.
