ANDROID DEVELOPER

We are searching for an Android developer who will be responsible for the development and upkeep of applications designed for a wide range of Android devices. Your main task will involve creating Android applications and integrating them with back-end services. You will collaborate with other engineers and developers across various infrastructure layers, necessitating a commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and the delivery of high-quality products. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential qualities for this role. The ideal candidate should have experience working with Android 4.4 and above, delivering Android applications with a large user base, and expertise in Services, Broadcast Receivers, HTTP, and RESTful web services. Familiarity with frameworks like Retrofit, Picasso, Glider, or Volley is preferred, along with a fundamental understanding of the HTTP protocol and experience with Android Kitkat and above development. **Responsibilities:** - Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code. - Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java code. - Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application. - Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs. - Assist in maintaining code quality, organization, and automation. **Skills and Qualifications:** - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 6 months of commercial Android coding experience. - Ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues under time pressure. - Strong communication skills to articulate technical challenges and solutions effectively. - Proficiency in Android SDK, various Android versions, and handling different screen sizes. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs for connecting Android applications to back-end services. - Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. - Experience in offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. - Understanding of the open-source Android ecosystem and available libraries for common tasks. - Knowledge of cloud message APIs and push notifications. - Familiarity with Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines. - Experience with continuous integration. **Good to Have:** - Commercial development experience in financial, retail, or related industries is a plus. - Understanding of Agile methodology and ability to instrument services and solutions for scalability and reliability. - Published one or more applications on the Google Play app store. - Excellent interpersonal communication skills with proficiency in verbal and written English. - Experience working in a team-based environment using source control tools like GIT. - Proficiency in using the full suite of development tools, including Android Studio.,
