Job Description

Android Developer

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable Android applications.
Implement application architectures and features for new and existing products.
Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and stability under guidance.
Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver outstanding user experiences.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in existing applications.
Stay updated with the latest Android trends, tools, and best practices.
Ensure code quality through unit and UI testing.

Required Qualifications

34 years of professional Android development experience.
Proficiency in
Kotlin
and
Java
for Android development.
Strong knowledge of the
Android SDK
, various Android versions, and handling diverse screen sizes.
Experience integrating
RESTful APIs
with Android applications.
Familiarity with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
Understanding of Google’s
Android design principles and interface guidelines.
Experience with
version control systems
(preferably Git).
Solid understanding of
Android architecture components
(ViewModel, LiveData, Room, etc.) and
MVVM design patterns.
Experience writing unit and UI tests.
Good problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with
Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Dagger, Hilt).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
Experience with Firebase services.
Understanding of the insurance or fintech industry is a plus.
