AM/DM - Automatic Transmission (AT/CVT)

Role: To work on Application development for various Automatic Transmissions Responsibilities: Application engineering of Automated manual transmission in passenger vehicles - Vehicle lay-outing, Conducting Design calculations for Heat Rejection, Neutral Drag, Gradient performance calculations etc Ddevelop BOM, prepare 3D CAD model, drawings and manage product structure. To develop new models through concurrent engineering with multiple stakeholders. Define schedule reliability evaluations based on the change content. Create requirements specifications (SOR) and release them to suppliers. Ability to select the best components/suppliers for system solutions based on performance and cost. Development and mass production of Transmission and hydraulic components including shift system, motor, valves, pumps, tanks, accumulators, etc. To conduct Transmission Assembly Vehicle build trials for new Models, Analyze and Resolve assembly line issues. Design develop concept prototypes, DFMEA plan for reliability evaluation, then have them tested to confirm benefits. Root cause analysis and countermeasure for market related issues (NVH, failure etc.) pertaining to Automated transmission system. Generate implement cost reduction proposals by VA-VE / localization / benchmarking for the related parts Job description Template ERD-DT/EN-52A/L11-12 Information Classification- Confidential 5 Competency Requirements Technical/ Functional : Understanding of various 2-Pedal Transmission mainly AT CVT Understanding of various manufacturing processes like Aluminum Die Casting, Forging, Machining, Plastic Molding, TM Assembly etc. CAD proficiency- preferably Uni-graphics. Knowledge of DFMEA, GDT. Working experience on Automatic Transmissions - hands on experience of quality issue resolution, AT/CVT vehicles/system/parts evaluation validation Understanding of mechatronics, hands on experience on Matlab, Simulink, INCA is added advantage Behavioral: Self-motivated, flexible and a team-player. Display job ownership target orientation. Evidence of strong networking skills. Japanese speaking is a plus. Good communication and presentation skills initiator. Willing to go to Japan on long term basis.
