Summary:We are hiring an AI/ML Engineer with deep knowledge of Small Language Models (SLMs) to develop lightweight, efficient models optimized for real-time applications, including edge deployment and low-latency scenarios.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesDesigning the architecture of Small Language Models (SLMs), selecting suitable model types (e.g., transformer-based), and define training datasets and evaluation benchmarks. Collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data to ensure high-quality, task-relevant inputs for model training. Training and fine-tuning SLMs using optimized procedures to enhance task performance while adhering to resource constraints. Deploying SLMs into production systems, ensuring seamless integration and reliable real-time operation within target applications. Continuously monitor model performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and implementing updates to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Ensuring all stages of model development comply with data privacy, fairness, and security guidelines. Staying abreast of advancements in SLM research and tooling, experimenting with emerging techniques, and contributing to innovation in the domain. Professional & Technical
Skills:

Strong background in NLP, deep learning, and model compression Proficient in PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers Solid understanding of neural network architectures, including transformers and other relevant models, and experience with training and optimization techniques. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) Detail-oriented with a strong focus on performance optimization Handle client communication, including articulating the solution to non-technical clients. Team player with good collaboration and communication skills
Additional Information:- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 1-2 years working on LLM/SLM development closely- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related technical field- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.- A 15 years full time education is required.Qualification
