We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Reinsurance Treaty Catastrophe Modeler to join our dynamic and growing team In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping our Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) portfolio, using cutting-edge catastrophe models to assess risk and profitability This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced catastrophe modeler who wants to make a real impact Your Impact :Analyze various structures like Catastrophe Bonds (CAT Bonds), collateralized reinsurance (CRI), size cars, Industry Loss warranties (ILW), parametric insurance for pricingAnalyze and model complex reinsurance treaties (e.g, proportional, non-proportional, retrocessional) using industry-standard catastrophe models (e.g, Verisk Touchstone/Touchstone Re, RMS Risk Link)Prepare, validate, and quality-assure exposure data for input into catastrophe models, ensuring accuracy and completeness Execute catastrophe models, interpret results (e.g, exceedance probability curves, average annual loss, return periods), and identify key risk drivers Participate in the validation and enhancement of catastrophe models, including model parameterization and calibration Stay abreast of industry trends, new modeling techniques, and emerging risks Participate in projects to help shape and define the company's view of risk for natural catastrophe perils Successful Candidates Will Have:3+ years of catastrophe modeling experience in the reinsurance industry Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline Proficiency in at least one major catastrophe modeling platform (Verisk/RMS) Strong understanding of reinsurance structures, treaty pricing, and underwriting principles Advanced analytical skills, including experience with SQL (preferred), Python, for data manipulation and analysis Strong grasp of statistical modeling concepts (return periods, probability distributions, extreme value theory)

You will play a key role in managing pricing parameters, supporting new product development, and participating in the development of a fast-growing Casualty ILS market. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and price collateralized casualty treaty reinsurance and retrocession deals. Document pricing assumptions and maintain consistency and transparency in pricing strategies. Update and refine pricing parameters, including loss trends, development factors, rate changes, and exposure curves. Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Lead efforts to maintain and enhance pricing tools and methodologies, leveraging advanced analytics and technology. Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including VBA, macros, and formula writing) to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field. 5+ years of actuarial experience, including in reinsurance pricing. ACAS (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society) or majority actuarial courses Strong attention to detail, communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to manage concurrent projects. Join our Operations team as aFund Controller. In this role, you will provide support to the portfolio management, risk and capital teams for investment decisions and execution on an individual deal basis. You will be responsible for key investor reporting, communicating with large institutional investors. We are a small team, and you will be an integral part of the day-to-day. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, an aptitude for data and analytics, and a collaborative approach to problem solving. In this role, you will: Coordinate the day-to-day finance and operational function and all areas of recording, monitoring, and accounting for the companys (re)insurance-based portfolios from deal capture to financial reporting and forecasting Oversee the companys administrator to confirm accurate and timely investor reporting, including performing a detailed review of their work and reconciliations to internal accounts Assist in establishing new workflows to make use of available technologies, integrate key portfolio and investor data with company systems and reduce operational inefficiencies Prepare internal and external reporting as well as portfolio and performance analyses, investor, regulatory and compliance reporting, with a focus on the use of technology to find and create operational efficiencies within the companys operational framework Investigate issues pertaining to premiums/bordereau reporting, investor reports, transaction settlements, and reconciliations of trades Organize the annual audit and tax processes to ensure we meet the completion deadlines for all Nephila companies Represent the company with customers, brokers, custodians, auditors, and regulators Participate in the preparation of RFP packages for potential new investors and ongoing investor due diligence reviews for new and existing investors WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM (QUALIFICATIONS): Recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CPA or ACCA) 5+ years experience of continuous Hedge Fund or investment accounting Detailed knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS for investment companies Experience with the valuation and accounting treatment for over the counter and illiquid or hard to value securities highly preferred Experience with insurance-linked securities (ILS) or Chartered Financial Analyst qualification a plus
