Key Responsibilities:
Database Design &Development: Design, develop, and maintain SQLdatabases that support business operations and ensure high availability andscalability.
SQL Query Writing: Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, andviews to support data extraction, reporting, and integration needs.
Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database structures to improveperformance and reduce response times.
Database Administration: Perform routine database administration tasks such as backups,restores, indexing, and monitoring to ensure data integrity and availability.
Data Security &Compliance: Implement and maintain databasesecurity measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industrystandards.
Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and IT teamsto understand database requirements and provide solutions.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including performancebottlenecks, query errors, and connectivity problems.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database schemas, queries,and administrative procedures.
Requirements Requirements:
Bachelordegree in ComputerScience, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience workingwith SQL databases, including design, development, and administration.
Proficiency in SQL Server isrequired. Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relevant databasemanagement systems is a plus.
Strong understanding ofdatabase normalization, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
Experience with ETL(Extract,Transform, Load) processes and tools is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud-baseddatabases (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solvingskills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independentlyand collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills,both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with big datatechnologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
Knowledge of NoSQL databases(e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is an advantage.
Experience with datawarehousing and business intelligence tools.
Familiarity with DevOpspractices and tools related to database management.
