PHP Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Core PHP Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic of our web applications, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and security. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of object-oriented PHP, a deep understanding of MySQL, and a commitment to writing clean, well-documented code.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Core PHP.
• Design and manage database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and optimize database performance.
• Integrate data from various backend services and third-party APIs.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, resolving complex performance and functional issues.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard user data.
• Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and share knowledge with the team.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in web development with a strong focus on Core PHP.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns in PHP.
• Proficient in MySQL, including database design, query optimization, indexing, and stored procedures.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and SOAP services (both creating and consuming).
• Strong knowledge of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line operations.
• Understanding of fundamental security principles (e.g., SQL injection, XSS, CSRF).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience with at least one PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., jQuery, React, Vue.js).
• Experience with composer for dependency management.
• Understanding of caching mechanisms (e.g., Memcached, Redis).
• Familiarity with web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx) and their configuration.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or PHPUnit.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Docker, CI/CD).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,309.18 - ₹20,352.78 per month
