Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building Indias first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

Major Work Focus

• Clean Room Systems: Design, build and operate a clean room, including air flow control, temperature and humidity control, air molecules monitoring and control in order to provide a ultra clean environment for 5nm fab production.
• General heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC): Design, build and operate chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, rotating equipment (motors, fans), and air handling units
• Air Emission Control: Design, build and operate general exhaust units, wet scrubbing unit, thermal oxidizer units, and local process air abatement units

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conceptualization, engineering design, analysis, specifications, calculations and documentation of mechanical hardware and/or systems for use in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Working with Design or Project Management organizations on large-scale designs and projects.
• Construction administration & site observations.
• Daily systems operation and operation data analysis
• Monitoring and management of utilities distribution, including power, steam, natural gas, water, compressed gases, instrumentation and control and so on.
• Routine system preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/R Engineering, or other related technical fields.
• An understanding of heat transfer, thermal management and fluid dynamics design and general knowledge of heat and thermal conventional manufacturing techniques are key to this role.
• Employee may be required to work outside normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• Shift work and emergency overtime are required.
• Familiarity with vibration analysis is preferred.
• Familiarity with air molecules and chemical analysis is preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-disciplinary environment.
• An understanding of HVAC, plumbing and building codes (in particular ASHRAE, IBC, IECC, IMC, and IPC).
• Experience with AutoCAD.

Desired Experience Level

• 10+ years of work experience.
• Experience with mechanical systems operations in the OSAT / Pharma manufacturing industry is preferred.
