MEP-HVAC Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee the design and execution of MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC) across all project phases.
• Review and follow up on MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs at the site to ensure accurate implementation.
• Liaise with architects, structural engineers, consultants, contractors, and local authorities to ensure seamless integration and necessary approvals.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with design, quality, safety standards, and local building codes.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and evaluations of MEP installations to ensure functionality and compliance.
• Oversee procurement in coordination with vendor, and timely installation of MEP and HVAC equipment and materials.
• Handle contract negotiations, billing verification, and reconciliation with subcontractors.
• Develop and manage project schedules, resource plans.
• Track project progress using KPIs, prepare reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain and manage all project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
• Lead regular coordination meetings, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and legal compliance.
• Provide leadership to the project team, fostering collaboration and high performance.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree / Diploma in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• 7 - 10 years of experience in MEP equipment / fixtures installation , testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, fire protection, and plumbing.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Understanding of local building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to communicate in English / Hindi/Gujarati and to report compliance and progress.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
