Position Overview

DGM Projects

Key Responsibilities

:

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop detailed project schedules using

    Microsoft Project (MSP)

    .
  • Implement advanced planning methodologies such as

    7D (Design, Detail, Develop, Drawings, Deliver, Defects, Documentation)

    .
  • Define key project milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Prepare and update

    weekly/monthly project plans

    , reports, trackers, and

    dashboards

    for senior management.

2. Cost Management & Estimation

  • Prepare project budgets and monitor actual costs vs planned budgets.
  • Conduct cost analysis, forecasting, and reporting to control expenses.
  • Coordinate with the estimation team for accurate BOQ and budget preparation.
  • Identify opportunities for

    cost reduction

    and

    value engineering

    .

3. Contracts & Vendor Management

  • Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and manage project contracts and sub-contracts.
  • Coordinate with

    contractors

    , consultants, and suppliers for timely deliveries and services.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of

    contractor resources

    , materials, and machinery.
  • Handle change orders, variations, and dispute resolution.

4. Project Execution & Monitoring

  • Lead project execution on-site from mobilization to commissioning.
  • Regularly monitor

    progress, resource deployment, material consumption

  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, specifications, and drawings.
  • Coordinate between site execution, engineering, and procurement teams.

5. Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance

  • Enforce strict

    quality control protocols

    as per company and industry standards.
  • Ensure

    health, safety, and environmental (HSE)

    compliance across all project sites.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions for workers.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain

    project reports, dashboards, and documentation

    for management.
  • Ensure timely submission of

    MIS reports

    , progress charts, and cost tracking sheets.
  • Maintain project files, drawings, technical documentation, and approval records.

7. Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

  • Interface with internal departments (Design, Stores, Procurement, Finance) for smooth execution.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and statutory authorities for approvals and compliance.
  • Conduct

    progress review meetings

    with stakeholders and escalate issues as necessary.

8. Team Leadership & Staff Development

  • Lead a team of project engineers, planners, safety officers, and site staff.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to junior staff.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, upskilling, and development within the team.

9. Tools, Systems & Technical Skills

  • Proficient in tools such as

    MSP, AutoCAD, Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint

    , and

    ERP systems

  • Use data analytics to improve project performance and decision-making.
  • Implement digital tracking, reporting, and site monitoring tools.

10. Value Engineering & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze project designs and processes for cost-saving opportunities.

    to improve functionality and efficiency.
  • Drive innovation in execution methods and technology adoption on-site.
