Job Title: Export-Import Executive Department: Commercial / Logistics / Supply Chain Reporting To: Commercial Head / Director Location: Changodar Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: The Export-Import Executive will be responsible for managing and coordinating all export and import activities of the manufacturing unit, ensuring timely dispatch of goods, accurate documentation, and full compliance with statutory and international trade regulations. The role requires close coordination with production, purchase, accounts, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure smooth movement of materials and finished goods. Key Responsibilities: Export Operations: ¢ Prepare and manage export documentation including invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, certificates of origin, and other regulatory documents. Coordinate with CHA (Custom House Agents), freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters for timely dispatch of export consignments. Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, and Export Promotion Council requirements. ¢ ¢ ¢ Track and monitor shipment movement until delivery to the customer. Handle export incentives and benefits such as MEIS, RoDTEP, EPCG, etc. Maintain all records and correspondence related to exports for audit and compliance purposes. Import Operations: ¢ ¢ ¢ ¢ Handle import documentation such as purchase orders, commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and import declarations. Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and CHA for customs clearance of imported raw materials, machinery, and components. Ensure compliance with import licensing norms, HS codes, and import duty regulations. Monitor shipment schedules to avoid production delays due to material shortages.
¢ Liaise with the finance team for payment processing, LC (Letter of Credit), and bank documentation. General & Coordination: ¢ ¢ ¢ Maintain and update export-import data, MIS reports, and shipment trackers. Coordinate with production, purchase, and stores departments to align dispatch schedules. Ensure all export-import transactions comply with company policies and statutory norms. ¢ ¢ Support internal and external audits related to EXIM operations. Keep abreast of changes in trade policies, customs regulations, and DGFT notifications. Qualifications and Skills: ¢ ¢ ¢ ¢ ¢ Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, International Business, or Supply Chain Management. 23 years of experience in export-import operations, preferably in a manufacturing setup. Sound knowledge of INCOTERMS, HS Codes, customs procedures, and international logistics. Hands-on experience in DGFT online portal, ICEGATE, EDI systems, and LC documentation. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems (SAP / Tally or similar). ¢ ¢ Strong coordination, negotiation, and communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to meet strict timelines. Preferred Attributes: ¢ ¢ Experience dealing with raw material imports and finished goods exports. Knowledge of export promotion schemes and post-shipment documentation. ¢ Ability to manage multiple shipments and vendors simultaneously. Salary: As per industry standards
