Job Description

HR - Operations Specialist

We are looking for an experienced HR Operations Specialist (Payroll) to manage payroll processing,compliance, and HR data accuracy. The role involves handling end-to-end payroll, statutory requirements,employee support, and reporting

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Administration

  • Manage end-to-end payroll process (data collection, validation, processing, and disbursement).
  • Ensure accuracy in salary calculations including basic pay, allowances, overtime, leave encashment, deductions, and incentives.
  • Prepare and distribute payslips, Form 16, and other payroll-related documents.
  • Coordinate with Finance for salary disbursement and reconciliations.

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all payroll-related statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, gratuity, bonus, etc.).
  • File monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns.
  • Stay updated with changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll policies.

3. Employee Support

  • Address employee queries related to salary, deductions, reimbursements, and tax matters.
  • Provide guidance on salary structures, income tax declarations, and benefits.
  • Support exit settlements and final dues processing.

4. HR Data & Systems

  • Maintain and update accurate employee payroll records in HRIS/HRMS.
  • Track attendance, leaves, overtime, and variable pay components.
  • Generate payroll reports, MIS, and dashboards for management.

5. HR Operations Support

  • Support employee onboarding and exit formalities related to payroll.
  • Assist in audits, both internal and external, providing payroll data as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in payroll and HR processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:

    Bachelors/Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience:

    25 years of payroll processing and HR operations experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax laws and statutory compliances (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.).
  • Proficiency in HRMS/Payroll software and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, Formulas).
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent problem-solving and employee service orientation.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, labor laws, and statutory compliances.
  • Proficiency in HRMS/HRIS systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
