Job Title:

Sales Head HoReCa (Plant-Based Protein)

Location:

Compensation:

  • Fixed:

    ?30,000/month (in-hand)

    Performance-based incentives on HoReCa sales (details below)

    ESOPs upon achieving defined sales targets

Role Overview:

Sales Head

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify, approach, and onboard new HoReCa clients.
  • Build strong relationships with chefs, procurement managers, and decision-makers.

Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue and volume targets.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.

Account Management:

  • Ensure repeat orders by maintaining excellent client relationships.
  • Provide support to clients, including menu integration, product knowledge, and troubleshooting.

Hands-On Execution:

  • Assist with operations, marketing campaigns, product demos, and customer support whenever needed.
  • Be involved in any initiative that drives business growth, regardless of functional boundaries.

Team & Reporting:

  • Work closely with the internal sales team (Yash and Praduman) to drive targets.
  • Report weekly and monthly sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline updates to founders.

Marketing Support:

  • Collaborate with marketing for promotions, product launches, and chef engagement programs.

KPIs / Targets:

  • Onboard 15

    new HoReCa clients per month

    (define based on city coverage).
  • Achieve

    monthly HoReCa revenue target

    (e.g., ?1L/month initially).
  • Maintain

    client repeat order rate ? 80%

  • Pipeline growth: Maintain a

    healthy prospect pipeline

    to meet quarterly goals.

Incentive Structure:

  • HoReCa Sales Incentives:

    5% commission on all sales closed by the Sales Head.
  • ESOPs:

    Granted if cumulative revenue targets are achieved within the first 12 months.
  • Quarterly bonus for exceeding targets.

Growth Plan:

  • 612 months:

    From leading HoReCa sales, transition to

    City Head / Regional Sales Lead

    overseeing multiple sales verticals.
  • 12 years:

    Potential to become

    VP Sales & Business Development

    , taking ownership of both HoReCa and Retail/D2C channels with equity growth.

Candidate Profile:

  • 3 years of sales experience in F&B, HoReCa, or FMCG.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably with restaurants, cafes, and cloud kitchens.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Founders mindset:

    entrepreneurial, hands-on, willing to do whatever it takes to grow the business.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
