As a Factory Product Manager (India) your mission is to be an ambassador for the MGS marketing team in Product Companies across India where there is active medical business. The mission is two-fold: you will feed the Product Company operations and NPD teams with marketing related information and you will support the Customer Centers with products and projects related to the Product Company. You will report the Vice President Marketing - Medical, for MGS Division but will be operationally steered by the Product Marketing Managers. You will cover the complete medical product portfolio of the MGS Division, including source equipment, pipeline and patient environment and aftermarket.
You will have the following strategic/tactical tasks
- Closely cooperate with the product marketing managers to gather market intelligence, to ensure we meet the requirements of the market
- Look for opportunities to improve our product offering, both from a cost and feature point of view. You will closely cooperate with the Product Company teams on one hand, and the Product Marketing Managers on the other hand, and work as a link between them.
You will have the following operational tasks
- Lead the process to have on time in full Project Master Specifications for the new product developments in your product companies. You will closely cooperate with the responsible Product Marketing Managers.
- Practical organization of the product launch activities
- Business Support and follow-up (you are the spokesperson for CCs in your PCs), organize customer visits (internal/external) to the PCs, visit customers in the field on regular basis.
- Closely cooperate with the divisional pricing manager to implement the pricing strategy set out by the Product Marketing Manager and safeguard that the marketing processes are implemented in the PCs
- Manage confidential product information such as PKs and CGPs; support the process of special prices for large orders.
- Close cooperation with the operations team to ensure that lead times are competitive and met. You give forecast for unit sales to the product company level meeting.
- Follow-up of product registration and certification for the products in the PCs. Your area of expertise should be / become the HTM/ISO/NFPA medical standards.
- Provide training to the CC sales team on the products, and support on the applications, competitive benchmarking (monitor both technical and commercial offerings).
- Keep up to date with product knowledge, competition and market to inform global product strategy and support value added sales approach
- Provide support and guidance to CC on product selection, configuration, and application for the project specifications and submittals to ensure timely response and work with the PMMs to ensure right price management to maximise profitability while ensuring market competitiveness.
- Co-ordinate with the communication & PMM team, to create and maintain the marketing documents for the products such as technical data sheets, sales brochures, and align local contents for the website aligned with marketing story
- Collaborate with CC and Product Marketing Managers to drive marketing and sales campaigns for the local market.
You will have the following project management tasks
- Prepare the marketing related project deliverables in new product development under guidance of the responsible Product Marketing Manager (ideation, business case, marketing specifications, competitive analysis and benchmarking, master specification, product introduction plan, marketing documents etc.)
- You are project leader in the NPD projects during the feasibility phase and you lead the product launch activities
- Attend all meetings required in your role and operate as a full member of the Project Teams and actively participate in the PTMs

Educational requirements
Masters degree in engineering or similar through experience A strong knowledge of English is a requirement.
Experience requirements
- Medical experience is ideal however a good knowledge of industrial compressors and/or industrial vacuum with a keen interest to acquire in-depth medical application knowledge would also be valued.
- Experience in product development in a Product Company
- Experience in competition benchmarking and supporting the CC for business growth
- Knowledge in gathering, organizing the voice of customers /market inputs from the local market
