As a CAT Modeling professional at WNS, you will play a crucial role in Portfolio Modeling, Regulatory Reporting, Model Validation, and Technical Solutions within the global reinsurance client domain. - **Portfolio Modeling:** - Understand Cat Modeling process and workflows - Run vendor catastrophe modeling platforms (RMS, AIR, Elements) for insureds and conduct portfolio risk analyses - Assist clients in understanding catastrophe risk through analytics - Provide analytical support, develop processes, prepare reports, and ensure SLAs are met - **Regulatory Reporting:** - Run catastrophe modeling platforms for accumulation analysis for reporting needs - Understand regulatory requirements and deliver accordingly - Provide analytical support, develop processes, ensure SLAs are met, and communicate with stakeholders - **Model Validation:** - Perform model validation, provide recommendations, and work with internal teams and data providers - Contribute to Group projects, produce customized reports, and evaluate re/insurance pricing - Analyze catastrophe reinsurance structures, support placements, and identify learnings from post-event reviews - **Technical Solution (SQL Query):** - Work as a Catastrophe Modelling Analyst in the Accumulation Management department with the Technical Solutions team - Develop customized tools and databases, maintain existing tools, and assist users with technical questions - Test new functionality, design new tools, and collaborate with global colleagues on projects **Qualifications Required:** - Strong analytical and numerical ability - Experience with catastrophe data - Excellent communication skills - Desirable requirements include knowledge of commercial insurance, coding experience, and proficiency in Excel If you have the required skills and qualifications, this role offers you a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the digital transformation of the reinsurance industry.
