Android AR Mirror Developer

We are currently looking for an Android developer to join our team and contribute to the creation of innovative applications that provide thoughtful experiences for our customers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our web team to understand customer requirements, brainstorm creative solutions, create website mock-ups and prototypes, present these prototypes to clients, and participate in the development and optimization of live platforms. We are seeking an individual who is agile, possesses strong technical skills, and is proactive in seeking clarifications. It is essential for the ideal candidate to not only understand how to code but also comprehend the underlying principles behind the code. The primary responsibility of this position is to work on the development and deployment of interactive AR mirror displays powered by Snapchat CameraKit. This involves developing kiosk-mode Android applications, integrating AR camera functionalities, and implementing remote configuration capabilities. The successful candidate should have a background in Android development, experience with AR SDKs, and familiarity with UI/UX design principles. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and integrate Android applications utilizing Snapchat CameraKit for AR mirror displays. - Configure kiosk mode to ensure seamless performance even in offline scenarios. - Design and implement a user-friendly interface inspired by Snapchat, including features like lens carousel, capture button, and photo/video toggle. - Create systems for QR code generation and email delivery of captured media. - Implement remote configuration and update pipelines for managing multiple deployed devices. - Collaborate with designers to seamlessly integrate AR lenses and enhance user experience. - Assist in the selection and testing of hardware specifications, including CPU/RAM upgrades as needed. - Ensure that the outputs align with business branding requirements. Requirements: - Strong proficiency in Android development using Java/Kotlin. - Hands-on experience with AR SDKs, specifically Snapchat CameraKit. - Proficiency in configuring kiosk-mode for Android devices. - Knowledge of remote device management and OTA (over-the-air) updates. - Experience in integrating QR code and email APIs. - Familiarity with UI/UX best practices for interactive displays. - Ability to work on offline fallback solutions. - Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work independently. Additional Desirable Skills: - Experience with e-commerce or web technologies such as Shopify, Webflow, or similar platforms. - Knowledge of IoT device communication protocols. - Exposure to multimedia processing (photos, videos) on Android platforms.
