Were seeking an Android developer to develop applications and build thoughtful experiences centered around our customers.During a typical day, youll be working alongside our web team to determine customer needs, brainstorm solutions, generate website mock-ups and prototypes, present these prototypes to customers, and both develop and optimize live platforms. Were looking for someone who is quick on their feet, possesses strong technica, and isnt afraid to ask questions. An understanding of not just how to code but why certain code works is a must.We are seeking a skilled Android developer to work on the development and deployment of interactive AR mirror displays powered by Snapchat CameraKit. The role involves building kiosk-mode Android applications, integrating AR camera functionalities, and implementing remote configuration capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with Android development, AR SDKs, and UI/UX design.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate Android applications using Snapchat CameraKit for AR mirror displays.
• Configure kiosk mode and ensure offline fallback functionality for uninterrupted performance.
• Design and implement a Snapchat-style user interface, including lens carousel, capture button, and photo/video toggle.
• Develop and maintain systems for QR code generation and email delivery of captured media.
• Implement remote configuration and update pipelines for managing multiple deployed devices.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure seamless AR lens integration and user experience.
• Assist in selecting and testing hardware specifications, including CPU/RAM upgrades where necessary.
• Ensure outputs have no business branding as per requirements.
  

Requirements

• Strong experience in Android development (Java/Kotlin).
• Hands-on experience with AR SDKs, preferably Snapchat CameraKit.
• Proficiency in kiosk-mode configuration for Android devices.
• Knowledge of remote device management and OTA (over-the-air) updates.
• Experience with QR code and email API integration.
• Familiarity with UI/UX best practices for interactive displays.
• Ability to work on offline fallback solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  

Additional Desirable Skills

• Experience with e-commerce or web technologies (Shopify, Webflow, or similar) is a plus.
• Knowledge of IoT device communication protocols.
• Exposure to multimedia processing (photos, videos) on Android platforms.
